




Vatukoula Gold Mines Limited is the largest producing gold mine in Fiji. The mine was first built in 1934 and has been in operation for 90 years. The total gold produced to date by the mine amounts to over 7 million ounces (210 tonnes).
The mine is located in the Tavua Volcano Basin in the northern part of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu, approximately nine kilometres from the nearby town of Tavua, and 90 kilometres from Nadi International Airport.
The mine employs over 1300 workers and is one of the largest private employers in the country.
